At Tanduringie State School we value our immediate and wider school community and welcome opportunities for our community to become involved in our school. The following special events are commemorated and celebrated each year.
Anzac Day
An Anzac Day service is held each year on the 25th April in the township of Maidenwell and is organised by both our school and our local CWA.
Show and Shine
Parents and families are invited to visit their child/children's classroom at the end of each term. It is an informal afternoon where students show and talk about the work they have been doing at school.
International Day & Grandparent's Day
We have a long-standing tradition of celebrating International Day. Our local CWA support and help to organise this event. Each year our students learn about a particular country and complete projects appropriate to their age and year level.
Local CWA, community members and grandparents come together to visit classrooms, view student's work and join us for light refreshments. Grandparents are invited to bring along a "Show and Tell" item from their school days.
Picnic Day
A tradition that has been celebrated for 100 years! Our picnic day is our way of celebrating the end of the school year. Our wonderful P&C organise and cater for this day where all members of our school community are welcomed.
