Tanduringie State School is a small, Prep-6, multi-age school located in an idyllic location approximately 5 km from Maidenwell in the South Burnett shire. It is part of a cluster group of schools in the Darling Downs South West Region and is approximately 40 km from the major centre of Kingaroy.

The area is traditionally a farming community with many past and present students coming from surrounding cattle, dairy and grain farms, as well as from the township of Maidenwell. Some students travel from areas outside of the school catchment area.

Currently there is one full time teacher and one part-time teacher with additional support staff employed at the school. Staff pride themselves on providing high quality education through differentiated teaching and learning in an inclusive and supportive small school community.

A valued strength of our school is the extremely close, supportive relationship that is maintained between the school, families and the local community.  The school and community work together, respecting the traditions and culture of the past while welcoming new families and embracing new ways of learning.
